Compact Rugged Hand Held Platform

Rugged, light (1.1kg), battery powered (up to 24 hours) multifunction tester with colour 4.3 inch TFT colour touch screen. The Ether.Genius is the ideal tester for those requiring a mix of legacy and next generation test capability.

Mutli Technology Support

In many network environments such as Utility Communications, Rall Communications and Defence applications, a mix of legacy and next generation communications technologies exist. Ether.Genius supports both legacy communications technologies such as Datacom (V.24, V.11/X.21, V.34. V.36, EIA-530), V.F (4-Wire), E0 Contra and Co-Directional, E1/T1, C37.94 interfaces as well as electrical and optical Ethernet up to gigabit speeds.

Service Activation and Delay Testing

Ether.Genius is capable of carrying out a wide range of Service activation testing such as BER, Multisttean, RFC2544, and eSAM tests. Additionally it has one of the most comprehensive Asymetrcial delay testing capabilities allowing users to measiure one-way delay and asymmetry on all interfaces, legacy and next generation.

Time and Synchronization Test Capabilities

With Synchronization over Ethernet becoming more prevalent, Ether.Genius provides comprehensive Time and Synchronization test capabilities with multiple test and clock reference inputs and outputs, PTP (IEEE 1588) Master and Slave Emulation, SyncE Emulation, Wander analysis including TIE MTIE TDEV measurements and clock monitoring capabilities on 1544 kHz, 2048 kHz, 10 Mhz, 1 PPS and ToD inputs.

Different Clock Options

Ether.Genius's integrated GPS/GLONASS receiver allows for easy connection to a GPS aerial for acquisition of a high accuracy timing source that can be used to test the phase and timing accuracy of devices and networks under test. Different clock/oscillator options are avaialble for Ether.Genius, a TCXO oscillator is provided as standard but for more accurate measurements or clock holdover operation a OCXO or rubidium clock option is available.

Albedo Ether.Genius is a multi-technology tester that includes an optional Rubidium clock, and is equipped with all the features you need to install and maintain Telecom networks based on Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), SyncE Ethernet (SyncE), E1, Datacom, V.F., C37.94, PTP (IEEE 15882v2) and Jitter/Wander.
