MT2 Niva

Real Time Analysis

The GPON Analyser provides a Real-time analysis and decode of all traffic/data on the PON in a Layered format and with no restrictions on time capture. Full GTC (GPON Transmission Convergence) frames for G-PON and XGTC frames for XG/XGS-PON are displayed, PLOAM/OMCI messages showing the OLT/ONUs dialogue can also be displayed, and GEM (GPON Encapsula8on Methods) Ports are discovered and displayed in real time providing access to the user data traffic.

Access to User Data

GEM ports are displayed in real time, and allow for the access to user traffic. The Analyser provides a multi-layer analysis with a clear view of the protocol layers and traffic information such as the instant downstream and upstream data rate, VLAN counters, and the upper services layer analysis. User IP-level traffic can be filtered and exported to PCAP files for detailed analysis and review.

Powerful GUI

Niva in controlled using a dedicated Niva Client GUI Windows application using an Ethernet or WiFi connection. The user friendly Graphical User Interface provides a simple intuitive interface allowing for both non-intrusive realtime and deferred analysis and monitoring capabilities . With a Client-Server architecture Niva provides flexibility for remote control and third party tools integration.

Comprehensive Analysis & Decoding

Deep analysis of PLOAM and OMCI message exchanges is provided , with errors automatically highlighted. Decodes are provided for ITU G.987, G.984, G.9807 & G.989 and an OMCI diagram generation capability is provided for browsing of the actual MIB in place.

The MT2 Niva (Non-Intrusive Viewer Analyser) is a robust, portable multi-usage optical processing unit that can be congifured as either an analyser or an OLT emulator depending on which software licenses are purchased. Niva is the only tool on the market capable of testing G-PON/XG-PON/XGS-PON and NG-PON2 capable protocols. Niva provides real time analysis and allows you to monitor continuously your PON tree. It displays all the events occurring on your network set up. It provides multiple levels of detail which help you to better understand what’s happening on your network.

Non-Intrusive GPON Monitoring

Niva is a passive GPON Analyser that can be placed anywhere on the PON tree using a completely passive optical tap that does not interfere with any equipment connected. On a multi-ONU topology you can place your analyser between an OLT and a splitter allowing you to see all downstream and all  upstream ONU messages. If you wish to analyse messages on a specific ONU then you can place the analyser between the splitter and chosen ONU allowing you to see all downstream messages and only the selected ONU's upstream messages.
